Places to visit in Baltistan ( Gilgit Baltistan)

Shigar district:

One of the wonderful wonders in Gilgit Baltistan . It’s  situated at a hundred and seventy kilometer from Skardu. Known as the gateway to the mighty K2 ( Mount Godwin Austin ) . It has been a heaven to mountainers.

2. Skardu district:

Skardu is the capital of baltistan division . It was the capital city during Maqpoon Dynasty . It has an altitude of nearly 2,500 metres (8,202 feet). The town is considered a gateway to the eight thousanders of the nearby karakurum Mountain range.

Kharmang district:

the Kharmang Valley is one of the five biggest valleys of Baltistan; recently it became a district, whose headquarters is Tolti .The valley is located about 100 km from Skardu.

Ghanche district:

Khaplu is capital of the Ghanche District .Khaplu is situated on the bank of Syok river ; it  was the second-largest Kingdom of Yabgo kinfolk.
